The first true single sheathed design, between 1903 and 1923 over 75,000 cars were built. As
with any high volume production over a long period of time, minor improvements were continually
made. Combined with upgrades that the different railroads made, literally dozens of different
versions existed. Our 6'-door kits model 14 physically different prototypes.
The first delivery of Fowlers to Grand Trunk was in 1912-1913. The cars had early rollers unique
to this series, poling pockets and a wood roof. GT lost its identity when Canadian National was
formed in 1920. The cars were relettered CN soon thereafter. The kit models the GT car exactly.
For the CN version see kit 4357.
